Swansea Uplands RFC was founded at the Uplands Hotel, Swansea in 1919 by players of the pre World War I Swansea Grammar School team on their return to Swansea. After playing at various sites in Swansea, in 1952 the club purchased the field at Upper Killay. During its history, the club has earned a deserved reputation for playing host to teams from countries as varied as Argentina, Australia, Canada, England, Finland, France, Holland, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, Romania, Scotland, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland and the USA.
The club has two Floodlit Pitches and licensed Club House (Overlooking the Pitches)
